When I started writing the Suzie Mouse Stories, I knew I wanted to self-publish them. What I didn’t know is how much I would learn along the way about the process of publishing. I also wasn’t expecting much more past the Suzie Mouse Stories; however, the further I got into it, the more ideas and dreams I had.

I decided to start Eleven Thirty-Three Books as a sort of seed for the future. This would be for me as well as for others. I know that I am publishing at least nine Suzie Mouse books, and there will be more after that! I also have a few other ideas up my sleeve. My hope is that I can take what I’ve learned and help others with their creative dreams.

The name Eleven Thirty-Three Books is from Luke 11:33 in the Bible. This has been a life-verse for me. Many moons ago, in reference to this verse, the Lord told me that He was going to “put me on a candlestick” (reference KJV version). I was quite unsure about this idea at first, because I generally shy away from attention. What He let me realize though, is that a lamp illuminates a space, and that people don’t actually look at a bright lamp. Instead, a lamp shines and brings clarity, vision, truth. That was something that I could get on board with!

My heart for 11:33 Books is to provide a publishing platform for words and art that illuminate, shine, bring truth, stir up hope, expand the kingdom of heaven, and have fun along the way.
